What author, living or dead, would you most like to hear read?
One thing that I must say is that I love poetry. I love poetry so much that sometimes I even try to write it myself, even though it doesn't always sound as good on paper as it did in my head. With saying that, I would love to hear any poet read their own poetry aloud because they know better than anyone exactly what it means, most of the time coming from the heart. There is so much emotion and heart felt thoughts behind writing, it's beautiful, so who better to read their own artwork than the creator of the piece?! Nikki Giovanni is one of my favorite authors. Although her work can be very graphic and brutal at times, I feel as though she writes as though she is talking to a friend, as if she is sharing every bit of her life with the world. It is just so captivating and she steals my attention every time.
